Blending Brews, the Art of Tea – This class builds on the understandings gained in January, Water Preparation workshop. We will taste herbs individually and then practice blending into lovely, tasty, and healthful blends using our senses and a handy blending model. Bring your teacup along and an adventurous spirit. Take home products include teas that have been made by class.

Vinegar Preparation $85

Vinegar & Witch Hazel Preparations – Herbal vinegars extractions can be used internally and externally for relief and comfort. The famed Fire Cider is a vinegar preparation using apple cider vinegar, fruits, and vegetables to boost our wellness and wellbeing. Make your own Kombucha, making a fruit/ herbal shrub, Witch hazel is a hydrosol that is used externally and can be helpful infused with other herbs for liniments and rubs. Take home products include Fire Cider, infused vinegar and witch hazel infused liniment.

Water Preparations for Nutritive Health $85

Water is the most polarized of the commonly used menstruums in herbal medicine. This class will include making teas, bringing Daily Brew into your life, using compresses, taking baths and steaming. We will look at the science of tea making, the wellness that Daily Brews can bring into our lives, some plant medicine first aid and the ritual art of bathing as a healing return to our body’s natural structure. Take home products include tea, daily brew and a bath.

Aphrodisiacs for Self, Sweethearts and Lovers – Herbs have a long history as aphrodisiacs so in this month of love let’s learn about the chemical, taste, histories, and physical signatures that temp our minds and bodies into an amorous state. Take home products include herb flavored chocolate, an herbal bath and a surprise.
