A Day Retreat May Be What You Need!

Most of us live the type of lifestyle that lends to major burnout more often than we can handle. Stress is a natural physical and mental reaction to life experiences. Everyone expresses stress from time to time. Anything from everyday responsibilities like work and family to serious life events such as a new diagnosis, war, or the death of a loved one can trigger stress. Before you reach your wit’s end… try being proactive about your health. I am the type of person that will run until the wheels fall off and then literally hibernate for a month. I’m sure you’re thinking “I WISH.” But what if you could implement certain hacks into your routine that make your body feel like you’ve rested for days? Would you go for it?

Self Care is NOT Selfish!

Here are a few simple ways to rejuvenate yourself.

  1. Surround yourself with water. This could be any water… simulated waterfall, pond, beach or river. Just get around some water and let it be with you. The sounds, the flow, let it permeate your body.

  2. Ground Yourself. Go outside barefoot and hug a tree. Yeah… it loves ya back! Seriously, it is one of life’s hacks that I seriously live by. I NEVER wear shoes on my land! Grounding relaxes you, decreases pain, and somehow just knows exactly how to take care of us.

  3. Ingest the good stuff. Ingest is such a complex word. Most of you thought about food immediately, but I mean everything. Make sure you’re filtering out what you hear, see and taste. You are what you ingest! I mean a reality show or 2 never hurt anyone though, RIGHT?!? LOL.
